Christina Greene is local Texas jewelry designer who understood the need for authentic western style hat jewelry made with gold and turquoise. This Houston native was drawn to fashion and jewelry-making long before she officially launched her brand in 2011. As a child, she had this natural eye for styling everything from outfits and accessories to furniture. Jewelry-making started as just a hobby she loved - she never imagined it could become what it is today.
After graduating from TCU with a degree in interior design, Christina decided to take her education further by pursuing her master's in fashion design and marketing at Parsons School of Design. Living in New York City and getting that full fashion industry experience was everything she'd dreamed of.
While in NYC, Christina split her time interning for major fashion designers and working for a jewelry designer. She was able to travel throughout India on the designer's behalf, learning about manufacturing and production - knowledge that would prove invaluable later.
During this time, Christina explored her love for jewelry-making, creating one-of-a-kind pieces by repurposing old jewelry with new stones and experimenting with wire-wrapping techniques. The turning point came when she wore one of her handcrafted designs to a rodeo and a fellow attendee bought the piece right off her on the spot! That spontaneous sale was the sign she needed to turn her passion into a business.
Christina started selling her unique jewelry pieces through her Etsy shop and began attending the Houston Livestock Show as a vendor - something she continues every year. But being a Texan through and through, she knew there was only one place to headquarter her growing business, so she moved back to Houston to start her brand.
